CLAss faq

What do I need to bring to the class?

  • Nothing! You will be provided with kit that contains : 2 different types of loopers, 1 sectioning comb, 1 jar of beads, 1 pair of pliers, 1 box of double prong clips, 1 scrunch, 1 detangling brush, 1 pair mini scissors, 1 bottle of glue, 1 sewing needle, and 1 spool of thread.

  • Mannequins and stands will also be provided, though they are property of MTAM and will not go home with you like your kit will.

Will we have to leave for lunch?

  • Nope! We will provide breakfast and lunch every day that you are in class. For smaller classes you will have a choice in selecting your exact meals, for larger classes we will have catering (and we always take your allergies/sensitivities very seriously).

Will you demo an entire row?

  • Yes! I always demo at least one full row. During smaller classes I will do a tandem install with students on a live person as well as mannequins are not the best medium to learn on.

Will we have time to cover everything on the ITINERARY?

  • We should! In the event that we do run behind we will set aside time on a future date for a complimentary coaching call to cover any subject matter that was cut short or missed. I always want to be sure you are getting enough hands on learning time so if things need to be shifted it will always be the content that is easily taught in virtual form.

what makes your class different?

  • Many things! First is that classes are always small in size to give you more one-on-one time with me.

  • Classes are designed to remove as much stress out of the process as possible (this is why we provide everything including a kit and your food throughout).

  • We film professional B-roll for you during the class, so that you can utilize it for your marketing purposes. B-roll is sent out a couple weeks after the class after it has been edited for each student.

  • We find models that aren’t “unicorns”. Learning on a “perfect” candidate doesn’t show you the worst case scenarios. We always strive to bring models that are hard cases, ones that are similar to your hardest clients behind the chair.

  • You’ll leave with confidence in more than just your technical skills. We cover a large range of topics, and you are given many different digital downloads and pdfs to utilize and that you can implement immediately in your business.

  • I’m always available to help. If you are struggling or have questions after the class you will be given my personal business cell number so that you can contact me personally. I am committed to your success and part of that is being available for you once you are back home and implementing the new techniques you’ve learned.

Will you ever travel for a class?

  • Yes! I am planning on traveling for 2 classes in 2024. Days and location have not been decided as of yet. If you are interested in hosting please email admin@morethanamethod.com with the subject line “travel class”. Please tell me your name, salon name, location, available times, and roughly how many stylists in your area are interested.
